More rapping over 17 year old beatmaking genius, Jonathan Lowell. He issued a contest on twitter, saying the best to rock over this beat would get an EP produced by him for free. I don’t know if I won, but regardless, I’ll probably be working with him after the album comes out. His beats definitely inspire me, this is probably the best song I’ve ever done, from a strict lyrics-standpoint. You can still totally tell I’m sick in this song, too. :/

It looks like the September 23 release date for the album was not meant to be. Mastering the tracks took a bit longer than expected, which pushed back the disc production schedule. And I didn’t want to push the album out to digital stores before I was sure I’d have the physical copies ready to ship. I can say that I’ll have some special surprises for people who buy the physical copy of the album, and I’ll be unveiling previews and free music on this site over the next month, so fear not!

But as of today, the master disc is on its way, I have the manufacturers ready to go, and I’m almost positive that October 7 will be when you can order the album.

First, I used a Miley Cyrus beat. So of course, I had to rock it to the Bieber, right? I actually really love “Baby,” I think it’s a fantastic song. So screw the haters.

Can you believe it’s already September? The summer is basically over, and it feels like it went by in a flash. So this is my official “Summer’s Over” anthem. Hope you enjoy it, and goodbye Summer. See you next year.

I made this song solely to feature beatmaker/producer, Jonathan Lowell, who is amazing. The kid is only 17, and he makes beats better than most of the adults who do this for a living. I get followed by a shit-ton of beatmakers on twitter (mostly cuz I often talk about how I need new beats), and about 99% of them are straight terrible….but Lowell is the exception to the norm, apparently. Look for me to do some work with him sometime in 2011. I could flip to his beats for days.

So, we were supposed to do a real episode, but Euge’s computer decided to majorly crash a day before he was going out of town. Some general announcements, while I deal with the fact that my entire laptop crashed last night and I’m desperately trying to get my life back in order after losing my HD.

I am going to be at SPX 2010, in Bethesda, MD (read: Washington, DC) on September 11-12. More notably, I’ll be co-hosting the Nerdlinger Awards with Jen Vaughn at Atomic Books in Baltimore on September 10. So if you’re around that weekend, come out and have fun with us! I will probably have tshirts in my car, so if you’re interested in buying a shirt without paying that annoying shipping cost, just find me at the show.
